Caring for your carpet
Daily care for your carpet
The beauty and life of a carpet depends largely on the care that it is given. Proper maintenance can add years of attractive life.
- Regular vacuuming is essential as it removes particulate soil that damages the fibers. Vacuuming maintains the surface appearance of a carpet and keeps the level of soil in the pile from getting too heavy before your next professional cleaning.
- Vacuum as often as necessary. The more high-traffic the area, the more often you should vacuum, up to twice a week. If it's in a room you rarely use, vacuum every other week. All other spaces, should be vacuumed at least weekly.
- Use a well-maintained, good quality vacuum. Change bags when nearly full to improve suction.
- When something is spilled on your carpet, spot-treat it immediately. If it has strong pigment, such as wine, punch or Koolaid, contact us immediately and we'll take care of it.
- If a powdered or sandy substance spills on the carpet, vacuum it numerous times slowly to get all the grit out of the carpet fibers.
Vacuuming removes only particulate soil and surface dirt; therefore, professional deep-cleaning and spot-cleaning are periodically required to improve the appearance and life of the carpet.
When you need periodic deep-cleaning call B&B Professional Cleaning and Restoration. We provide our customers the best quality service available. We want to be your first and ONLY call for carpet cleaning.
